What we learned...

1. UConn needs to run to win.

The fast break looked very good today, albeit against a very overwhelmed Chattanooga team.  The passing was tight and the Huskies only had 10 turnovers.  One concern is getting AJ Price going early.  He's a rhythm shooter by his own admission and needs to hit some early shots against A&M on Saturday to get his team going.

2. The Huskies make more free throws.

Despite the big win UConn is still struggling from the charity stripe, going only 23-39.  Jeff Adrien was the biggest culprit, going only 5-13 but missing 7 of his first 9.  If the Huskies want to be a real threat for the championship they need to make good from the free throw line.  Just ask last year's Memphis team if it matters.

3. Sticks is heating up.

Stanley Robinson had 24 points to lead all scorers.   It was nice follow up to his performance in the Big East tournament and the Huskies may be able to overcome the absence of Jerome Dyson if he continues to play at this high level.

4. Where's the D?

He laughed and he said Coach Calhoun did too (over the phone) but Hasheem only had 2 blocks.  True, Chattanooga wasn't driving the lane much, especially after Hash had one huge block, but UConn needs the defense to play at it's best to stay in any match-up.
