Thoughts From Behind the Bench

Rich and I are sitting right behind the UConn bench here in Philadelphia and we're getting an inside peak into Coach Calhoun and the Huskies during the game. 

Calhoun seems to turn around question the team's defense even after A&M makes tough, next-to-impossible shots. 

Early in the game when Thabeet came out, Calhoun asked him if he was open. The center replied yes, and when he checked back in Price gave him the ball immediately and he scored.

The end of the bench loves the defense and UConn really has been suffocating on that end. Add in the three's Price is hitting, the fact that Adrien has barely missed, and that the Aggies can't hit a thing from outside and you get the Huskies up 20-plus as we near the end of the first half.
